The Whole Life Center recognizes the value of volunteering and we are well aware that volunteers are the life blood of our organization and it is GREATLY APPRECIATED. We strive to give everyone an uplifting and enjoyable experience in exchange for the time that it takes from everyone’s busy schedule to assist us with meeting the ever increasing needs of Easton and the surrounding areas.
- Last year volunteers have given over 2,000 hours in distributing mainly produce and meat.
- We enable the community to have a healthy and well-rounded diet.
- We make certain children are getting the proper nutrition especially during the summer. Seniors also benefit from our volunteer services.
- Volunteers include students to professionals.
- Corporations also allow their employee to give back.
- We have an all-volunteer staff giving approximately 1,700 manhours per year.
- The Whole Life Center on an average has about 70 volunteers per year.
Food deliveries occur Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday of every week and take place from 11:00am to 12:00-1:00pm (most days are finished by noon). Volunteers help staff unload the truck from Sam’s Club, weight each box, and put food in freezers or fridges. The truck is then partially reloaded for the drivers to make deliveries to the area partner organizations.
Pantry days are the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, 11:00am-2:00pm. Volunteers help pack boxes with food and assist patrons with carrying boxes to cars if necessary. During November and December only one pantry day is held (the 2nd Wednesday), and there are no pantry days in the month of July.
We would greatly benefit from volunteers who also speak Spanish, so if you are bilingual please consider helping us out!
